  • Exceptional Experience

    You have a nice hotel, in a great location. But our stay would've been just another hotel stay if it were not for Alex Sailor-Guest Experience Manager. He completely and single-handedly made our 4 night stay exceptional. Initially our room was not prepared on-time for us at 4pm and Alex jumped in, put the fire out and made sure, from the first minute we would be satisfied customers. He was in the breakfast room every morning, there to greet all the guests and he made sure housekeeping brought us extras everyday. Please give him a raise, kudos, whatever appropriate. He is a valuable player on your team.

  • Above and Beyond

    I stayed at the Hampton Inn on W Illinois St in Chicago Oct. 11-15, 2013 to run the Chicago Marathon.  I wish to compliment the entire staff of the hotel for outstanding service.  From the doormen, counter staff to the cleaning and food service staff, the hotel went above and beyond catering to the needs of marathoners.  Their pleasant engagements, lobby provision of Gatorade, and power bars on the morning of the race etc. catered to the runners.  I was in one of 3 rooms in our group that stayed at the hotel. All of those staying at the hotel echoed the same positive comments.  I recommend that you recognize the hotel manager and staff for this excellence in service. 

     

    I further wish to specifically compliment Brenda (originally from Mexico) who works in the 'breakfast included food service' section of the hotel.  She was very pleasant and attentive to requests but what stood-out was her assistance rendered to a group runner who sought to access the hotel Wi-Fi.  She assisted him on his tablet with selecting preferences etc. over the course of several minutes until successful connection.  This suggests that with these attributes Brenda has a strong future, intelligence and untapped capabilities to offer to your hotel network.  I hope that by advising you of this, she is recognized for her abilities and given increasing responsible job opportunities to allow you and your guests to continue to benefit from her potential.  I seldom write comments to hotels.  Therefore you should consider how impressed I was by Brenda and her colleagues at this property.  If there is an award or recognition that can be given to the Manager, staff and Brenda, I fully endorse its issuance.  Way to go Hampton Inn and Suites Chicago W Illinois St.  I'll be back.

  • Gracious and Helpful

    Thanks to all who made our stay so special.  I travelled to Chicago on business to meet with our office there and combined the trip with my 12-year-old daughter's Girl Scout troop fall break.  Everyone at your hotel was very gracious and helpful—especially to three pre-teen girls who wanted to know the best places to shop and eat.  The guys at the front desk displayed incredible patience when peppered with their inquiries (my daughter especially like Matt and Damian). Our suite was perfect, as was our entire stay.  Kudos to your staff for making this fall break trip one to remember.

    I just wanted to say that my stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Chicago has been excellent.  Your staff are by far rated #1 in my book.  They are there to serve their Guests with upmost courtesy and give prompt attention to everyone.  I have stayed at this hotel all but about three weeks from August  until now.  I had to stay at the Embassy Suites on two occasions because I could not get into your hotel.  Even though both properties are under the same ownership; Hampton Downtown was far better the friendlier and cleaner hotel.  Hampton Inn & Suites is my hotel of choice in the Chicago area and if my travels bring me back to Chicago, this is where I will stay!!  I was made to feel at home, the hotel was very comfortable and again, CLEAN!"

  • Cleanest Hotel 

    We just finished a four day stay at your hotel, and it was wonderful. I worked in the hospitality industry for 13 years mostly in housekeeping and have to say your staff was wonderful. It was the cleanest hotel I have stayed in a long time. The staff always friendly and always had time to answer our questions. The breakfast you provide is a huge value and we will recommend this hotel to all my friends and colleagues who want to travel to Chicago. Thanks again for making our wonderful trip to Chicago even better!

  • Friendly and Helpful 

    I want to take the time to let you know that I enjoyed my stay at your hotel very much and found your staff exceptional. I arrived early in the morning of Aug 7th with my two daughters 12, 14. I had requested a early check in, our room was ready on our arrival and we were able to get a couple hours sleep, which set a perfect tone for our trip. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly and very helpful. I will absolutely recommend your hotel to anyone I know that is traveling to Chicago and be staying with you again myself.
